Turn your Olympic barbell into a cable bar. Andreoni Cable Barbell Collars lock onto each sleeve and clip to your functional trainer's cables with a carabiner, so you can train barbell movements with the smooth, constant tension of the weight stacks.

Regular collars hold your plates. These also turn your barbell into a cable bar, so you don't need to buy a separate $50–80 cable bar.

Turn the knob by hand and a protective inner liner presses evenly against the sleeve, locking each collar in place in seconds, without tools and without scratching your bar. The knob and screw are 304 stainless steel, so they resist rust and sweat and keep turning smoothly.

They work with your Olympic barbell and with specialty bars that have 2" spinning sleeves, like EZ curl bars and tricep bars, so one pair turns your whole bar collection into cable attachments. Because the sleeves spin, the bar rotates naturally in your hands while the collars stay lined up with the cables.

Off the cables, they work as regular collars to keep your plates secure.

Carabiners are sold separately. You'll need two, one per collar. The Andreoni Gym Carabiner 2-Pack fits the attachment point and is rated for the load.

Using the collars on cables

Slide one collar onto each sleeve, the same distance from the center, so the bar hangs level.
Turn the knob by hand until the collar is snug and won't move. No tools needed.
Clip a carabiner (sold separately) through each collar's attachment hole and onto each cable.
Set both weight stacks to the same weight.
Before every set, check that both knobs are tight and both carabiner gates are fully closed. Start light the first time you use a new setup.

Using them as regular collars: slide the collar onto the sleeve against your plates and turn the knob by hand until it's snug.

Care & inspection

Inspect before each use. Stop using a collar if you see cracks around the weld, damaged threads, or a knob that no longer tightens firmly.
Keep the inner liner clean so it grips evenly.
